MNGR

This is your personal song of the day: Mark Ronson & The Business INTL feat. MNDR and Q-Tip: [mouthful, much?]Bang Bang Bang. Watch the vid before reading what I have to say.

By God, this song works like fuck (good fuck that is)!I particularly like the use of modern foreign languages that I can actually speak and the use of a french nursery rhyme that i actually understand too, however it's quite a sinister rhyme ("je te plumerai la tete" means "I'll pluck your head"...).

Now to the important part: my criticisms about the collaborators visually.
Mark Ronson

Mr Ronson's face reminds me of someone who used to go to my school in my year 11 class - it's not a good thing. However he cannot help this. Unfortunately for me.

MNDR

Upon first sight, you feel that MNDR should've originally been called MNGR. Although she actually isn't such a bad looker, some of the faces she pulls are kinda unattractive. See Fig. 1, 2 and 3 below:
Fig. 1
Fig. 2
(and for my personal favourite) Fig. 3

God, woman..

Q-Tip

I have nothing bad to say about Q-Tip. He has shiny metallic shoes.
That's a tune we can all dance to.

VANITY

Fuck, my blog looks hideous.

If you know how to change it back to like a simple plain background, tell me.
I thought 'wow this washing machine background looks well indie and shit.' yes it is indie - emphasis on the shit.

It makes me want to cry.
It makes me cry.

That was poetic.

Now to business.
I currently have no life burdens at the mo AKA college, therefore I have the time to be able to blog. I have also inspired someone to reblog. This turns me on a lot. With thanks to slutever, someone what they call a Cazz, now blogs again. Check it. It's rather good.
And the punctuation and spacing between
lines isn't random,
like mine.

She's also a good person. Cazz and I have history that goes back, despite us not remembering each other. We [allegedly] went to the same primary school together, where we suffered Tuesday hymn practice, dreadful Show and Tell paraphernalia (sticker from the dentist - no kidding) and the French teacher getting progressively browner over the four years.
The memory of Caroline disappeared for, like ever and then I meet this person at a party who says she is Cazz and likes women - ticks the box. And an exchange of numbers nearing the end of the evening means she texts me nearly every evening.

Dedicated.

Then these texts appear (Cazz speaks first)

Did you used to go to [enter primary school name] for primary school? X

Yes why?x

:) i thought i recognised your name. You used to sit opposite me for english next to [the person sitting next to me]. I think it was year five cos we were in [a teacher's] class. We used to be friends :) x x

This is the moment where my mind drew a blank. Shit. This is embarassing. I should really know who Cazz is. Frustrated, I ask the least helpful question in the whole wide world:

...Have you always had black hair?x

It's actually dark brownish but it used to be light brown. My full name is Caroline :)

FUCK!! Why does she remember me but not vice versa?! It annoyed me so much I had to ring Cazz up as texts can't show frustration too well and the memory of her wasn't coming to light.

Ugh.

My memory's amazing: tell me one thing and it'll go out the other ear. Then if you put me next to a person who has a similar memory capacity, we can repeat the same conversation everytime we meet, so we'd never run out of things to talk about!!

magic.

Let's make a sandwich!

Guess what I'm so hung up about?

Yes, it's Lady Gaga and Beyonce's Telephone video. Not just because it is Lady Gaga but FUCK it's an epic artistic masterpiece.

OK ignore the product placement and see how well made this 10mins of video goodness is. And then check out the crazily good symbolic analysis by some other bloggers...! But only read it after you've watched the video.

What else am I so hung up about?

Polaroid film is being re-released!!

And the packaging isn't half bad either.

This is the first flavour of the new generation of Polaroid film will start of only being compatible with these sexy 1970s SX-70s
and only in black out but the impossible project want to extend their film line to even the more modern 600 series (i have this one!)

WOW!

I'm soooo excited!

Polaroid definitely isn't dead!

Hooray!

Now that I've cut the crap off my computer, I've reclaimed 2GB of storage!

Yay!

Now to show you the stuff I do in Product Design.
Admittedly, I'm not the biggest fan of Product Design...I'm not too sure why, but I think it's just that I prefer to more 2D things than 3D (like Graphic Design). Still, I'll show you anyway!

So for our coursework, we could do any project we wanted, provided we had a client. I chose my mum and at the moment she is selling English blankets through a little known site called eBay. I thought hypothetically: what if she had a real store where she could sell her wares in a very nice way? So along with logo, price tag and bag I decided to design a shelving unit to present the products.

Below is a 1:4 scale model of it:

It's made of 2 laser-cut sheets of plywood which one simply doubles up and slots together (although I still think it needs glue to support it all).

This design is based on the company's logo I designed

See the resemblance?

I know this is all in theory, but I'd love it if my mum were to take elements from my design work and use it in the real world like, say, on a website. Then it wouldn't all just be going towards my grade, but also a...cause..(is that the right word?)

I'll keep you posted :)

Gosh, darn it

Oh cripes, it appears I've run out of space on my computer!
This means I'm in epic-archive mode and am uploading all of my files into the sky as we speak.
This also (obviously) means I can't save stuff onto it at the moment.
I thought it'd be a good idea to be all organized and everything by saving all of my Product Design images as Photoshop .eps before I got to my lessons, but no! 'No room on disk!' my computer says...:(

Because of all the big files my computer is uploading, I'll post some images of what I do in Product Design at a later date. Sorry, reader(s).

Oh and before you say "How could you contradict yourself? You've clearly uploaded a photo to this post!", no, it is a mere illusion (it's from a URL, so no uploading required)!

Mind Kontrolle

Have you heard the rumour that Lady GaGa is in fact a mind controlled satanist? If you haven't, you have to read it.

As pathetically ridiculous this conspiracy is, it got me thinking about mind control. So I started researching and it's in fact extremely intruiging! Here's my condensed version of mind controlling history:

There has been a lot of mind controlling over many years such as the brainwashing by cults and propaganda by...well basically everyone! But there was apparently a mind controlling program in the US which started off under the name MK ULTRA - scary name for a scary program! There were many other subprojects that came from this MK ULTRA project including Project Monarch. This project subjected victims to an electric shock in which they were in a state where they could be 'programmed'.
These 'programmes' could be as harmless as ALPHA (enhanced memory) to OMEGA (self-destruction). And these programmes could be activated through triggers such as certain words or images. It is even thought that there are triggers in certain Disney films that were purposefully made for this.

Oh the butterfly? Yep, that's a Monarch butterfly. That was one of these sinister triggers.

These programs now cease to exist. In fact they haven't existed for quite a few years now. Phew!

Now
This got me thinking.
Could I make an art project out of this?

I think so.
